About
Apple Computers
Apple Inc., a well known brand
for designing and producing software goods and
electronic gizmo, was established in 1976 by
Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. The two experts
created Apple I that had one circuit board.
However, the computer greatly evolved when Job
visited Xerox to check out the first computer,
Xerox Alto, which had a graphical user interface
(GUI). Impressed by the GUI, Jobs created Apple
Lisa - the first computer for home use.
Happy with this progress,
Apple continued its research for a better computer.
Macintosh was discovered in 1983. However, Jobs
had few issues with the then CEO, Sculley. One
such was including all features of Apple Lisa
in Macintosh. Job and Sculley eventually split
resulting in the first Macintosh not having
powerful features of Apple Lisa such as 1 MB
memory and multi-tasking.
A couple of years later, Macintosh
developed greatly with the inclusion of Aldus
PageMaker and LaserWriter printer. Apart from
developing computers, Apple tied up with numerous
companies to provide a new computing platform,
powerful graphical softwares, and laptops with
potent Intel processors.
Apple has embarked in all
possible spheres in computing such as desktops,
laptops, notebooks, iPods, iPhones, high-end
digital TV, servers, and numerous software.
Among desktops computers, Mac Mini is a cost-effective
computer to suit low budget consumers. Apple
has also introduced all-in-one iMac,
Mac Pro workstation, MacBook
notebook, and XServe dual core, dual
processor server, among others. Apple is still
evolving and learning from the past. Today,
the company has succeeded in making headway
in multimedia with the introduction of various
photo-processing software, music toolkit, video
production suite, and online services.
